YOU ARE INVITED to Shanghai Boat Show Charity Regatta!
Venue Supported by Shanghai Water Sports Center, Shanghai Saimeng Water Sports Club
Autism is a life-long non-progressive physical developmental disability that severely impairs the way the
sufferer ‘sees’ the world, causing problems in social behavior, communication and learning ability and hindering the establishment of normal social and parent-child relationships.
There are 400,000 children with autism were recorded in China, an increase of 15,000 recognized cases over
the preceding year.
Sailing for Kids plans to raise funds to help early diagnosis and intervention which proves to be vital to the future development of an autistic child, and special educational programs using behavioral training methods
which could significantly improve the quality of his or her life, specifically by supporting the Silent Angel
Kindergarten, a registered, but drastically under funded, NPO which specializes in the care and development of
these children.
For many parents and those who have taught children with autism, the hope is always that somewhere behind
those beautiful eyes, deep inside that inscrutable brain, way down in the soul of the child with autism, lurks the seed of genius.
